What's the difference between Desk Basic and Desk Premium?
Desk Basic is free and includes up to 50,000 AI tokens in total — not per month. Tokens can’t be topped up once they run out, AI support runs on a lightweight model, and you can't store materials larger than 20MB.
Desk Premium raises that to 250,000 AI tokens a month, and you can buy additional credits if you reach the limit — credits last until the end of your billing cycle. You can store materials of any size, and you're never shown advertisements.
How does Desk help me focus?
Switching platforms costs more than the few seconds it takes. Jumping from your notes to a browser tab to a chat window means dropping the thread of what you were doing and rebuilding it afterwards, while part of your attention stays stuck on the platform you just left. Repeat that often enough and an hour of study turns into an hour of restarting.
Desk keeps your materials, flashcards, notes and AI chats in one workspace, so there is less to switch between and the thread holds.
Can school students use Desk?
Desk is currently for university students only but it will soon be available to sixth-form students and post-university learners.
Can I collaborate with coursemates on Desk?
Absolutely — Desk is built with group work in mind. You can create shared notes, build shared task lists, and set up dedicated study spaces for your study group or project team, making it easy to stay organised and aligned with your coursemates.
Can I use Desk on my phone or tablet?
Yes — but Desk is currently optimised for desktop. The desktop version offers the best experience right now, although the Desk mobile app will be launching very soon.
Is Desk connected to my university's LMS?
Not yet. Desk isn't integrated with university systems, which means your classes and assessments aren't pre-loaded — you can add them yourself after setting up your account. This gives you full control and flexibility, and ensures your workspace stays private and tailored to how you study.
